Pink was intoxicated and singing at the time of making the claim, did not have a giant drill, and was not really a professor. (TV: The Great Detective)

Following the loss of his companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams (TV:The Angels Take Manhattan) the Eleventh Doctor retired to London in 1892.
