Evil Egg was a short story published in Doctor Who Magazine issue 28. It was written by Jenny O'Connor. It featured the Fourth Doctor, Sharon Davies and K9 Mark II. It was technically the first story to depict Sharon as a willing companion, as her second story (Doctor Who and the Dogs of Doom) had only depicted the two trying to make it back to Blackcastle at that point. Despite this, Sharon essentially sleeps through the story.
Summary
On Deneb III, the Doctor finds an egg-shaped device and is teleported inside it. He is nearly the meal of two telepathic humanoid aliens. He is rescued when K9 shoots the egg with his laser, destroying it and restoring the Doctor to normal size.
