The Foxgrove Village Fête was a fête held in Foxgrove on 18 August 1951. 58-year-old Sarah Jane Smith, her adopted son Luke, and her protégé Rani Chandra went there after being transported back in time from the 21st century.

Mrs King managed the tea tent with the help of Barbara Smith, while Barbara's husband Eddie ran the contest to guess the number of gumballs in the jar. Their three-month-old daughter, Sarah Jane, rested quietly in her pram. It would be the last time she saw her parents until she returned to the same day from 58 years in the future.
