Slake, born Edwin Pratt in the year 1935, was a human from San Francisco who was turned into a vampire in the 1957. In 1997, he tried to turn an otherwise dormant sect of vampires into a domineering cult, fit to rule over mankind. He was killed after he fed on the Eighth Doctor's blood which was infused with a vampire killing solution. (PROSE: Vampire Science)
