John F. Kennedy Jr. was a son of President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Kennedy and a brother to Caroline.
John and his sister had both been born by 22 November 1963, the date of their father's assassination. In an alternate timeline envisioned by James Stevens in which Jackie died instead, a nuclear war was started on 22 January 1964. As the President was informed of an approaching missile, he was assured by Robert Kennedy that all of the White House staff and senior government members, including his children, were already in a shelter.
