Trundle-V was a Servobot, one of the robots created to assist the human residents of Podworld, who followed the revised Laws of Robotics. However, when the Tenth Doctor and Heather McCrimmon and the Tenth Doctor visited Podworld, they discovered that thousands of the planet's human residents had been living malnourished lives for 20 years without the assistance of their Servobots.
