Plantation

A plantation was a large area of land used to grow a specific crop.

A swarm of black scorpi attacked a plantation on an Earth-like planet and began eating all the crops. The First Doctor created a chemical rain which not only killed them off, but also accelerated the growth of the plants the scorpi had eaten. (COMIC: Plague of the Black Scorpi)
