Shamash

Shamash was the god of the sun in Mesopotamian mythology.

Gilgamesh initially believed that the Seventh Doctor was Shamash, though he did not look like a warrior. When the Doctor said he was a man of learning, Gilgamesh concluded that he was Ea, the god of wisdom. Later, when Ace told Gilgamesh that all good spies wore disguises, she cited James Bond as an example, but he thought she said "Shamash Bond." (PROSE: Timewyrm: Genesys)
