The author herself has stated to me [https://twitter.com/AmyVeeres/status/1311078051879489537|here]that she perceives it taking place shortly after The Long Game, as the Doctor apparently was excited for Dr Bryce to meet Adam (before the you-know-what happens). I'm only asking this for those, like me, who like to update the Theory Timeline pages, but I suppose it's also worthy to add in the Notes section. Let me know what you think. Final scene
If you've listened to this yet, you'll know that the final scene contains the Ninth Doctor and Rose returning to meet Dr Bryce. Now unless I'm mistaken, there's nothing in this scene that explains where between The End of the World and The Empty Child this happens for them... until now. The author herself has stated to me [1]that she perceives it taking place shortly after The Long Game, as the Doctor apparently was excited for Dr Bryce to meet Adam (before the you-know-what happens). I'm only asking this for those, like me, who like to update the Theory Timeline pages, but I suppose it's also worthy to add in the Notes section. Let me know what you think.
