Hi please see the changes I made to [[Javier Aliaga]] to see the things you have to keep in mind when creating a new page thanks [[User:Shambala108|Shambala108]] [[User talk:Shambala108|<span title="Talk to me">☎</span>]] 01:37, March 9, 2020 (UTC)

Hey [[User:Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived|Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived]], I noticed you were making some edits to that page and was wondering, should we add classic companions to the list? Technically, [[Nyssa|Nyssa]] kisses the Doctor in [[Terminus (TV story))|Terminus]], so does that count? Should kisses that happened in books and audio adventures also be counted? Just thought I'd run that past you since you've been doing some of the editing to that page. Hope all is well! : First of, Shambala is a woman, so please use "she/her" in the future. Secondly, I can't help much in the "getting in touch with her", because the only means of communication we have is this Wiki. If she didn't reply, it's most likely because she didn't have the time, or perhaps forgot to do so.
: However, I ''can'' help in the sense that I ''might'' know the reason it was deleted: there was a discussion long ago (though I can't find the link right now) that we wouldn't do categories for LGBT+ people (a category that I and a few other editors don't agree entirely). So, [[T:BOUND|Until and unless there is a new discussion in which it is decided that we should do these categories, they can't be created]]. ::In addition to what our good admin OncomingStorm12th said above, I would add that although, as OS12th said, this is possibly not the ''main'' reason your category was deleted, it's also the case that if it were to exist, it should have been <nowiki>[[:Category:Lesbian individuals]]</nowiki> without capitalisation of the "I". I don't think it's very fetching either, but there you have it. See also [[The Doctor's mother]] instead of <nowiki>[[The Doctor's Mother]]</nowiki>, for a high-profile example of the same point in the Tardis Wiki manual-of-style. --[[User:Scrooge MacDuck|Scrooge MacDuck]] [[User talk:Scrooge MacDuck|<span title="Talk to me">☎</span>]] 23:00, April 16, 2020 (UTC)

:::Looks like this has already been answered, but just wanted to point out, it wasn't stupid of you to call me "he" since you didn't know better, so no need to apologize. I'm not the kind of person who takes offense at that kind of thing. [[User:Shambala108|Shambala108]] [[User talk:Shambala108|<span title="Talk to me">☎</span>]] 23:24, April 16, 2020 (UTC)

== Skaro in the Cushing Movies ==
Hey [[User:Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived|Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived]], no problem, I was just checking. I'm aware of the audio situation, my personal project for the summer is to add the plot to the audios I have been waiting to listen to, in fact, I've already done a couple like "Hexagora" and "The Monsters of Gokroth", both of which I think involve the kissing category (don't remember off the top of my head). Can you run it past the admins? Otherwise, how do I clarify this with the admins? I was told there was a forum/board I should post questions to, I'm still a little new here so still "learning the ropes", can you point me in the right direction? Thanks! [[User:DoctorQuoi|DoctorQuoi]] [[User talk:DoctorQuoi|<span title="Talk to me">☎</span>]] 22:39, June 15, 2020 (UTC)DoctorQuoi
This is a bit of a questionable decision you've made in that edit rationale IMO. We don't create separate pages for ''everything'' in an invalid story, if it's depicted similarly to how it is in valid sources; if there's a ''bit'' of discrepancy/additional info, well, that's what BTS sections are for. What's next? [[Dalek (Dr. Who and the Daleks)]]? [[Human (Dr. Who and the Daleks)]]?!…

But even granting that the geography of the Cushing films' Skaro be different enough to warrant such a separate page, this hardly seems like the right time to launch into such a project when there is [[Thread:232095|a forum thread going on]] which, while yet unclosed, really does look likely to make the Cushing movies into actually ''valid'' sources. --[[User:Scrooge MacDuck|Scrooge MacDuck]] [[User talk:Scrooge MacDuck|<span title="Talk to me">☎</span>]] 17:14, May 12, 2020 (UTC)
== RE: Individuals Who Have Kissed the Doctor Category  ==
:Well, really, we only have pages for invalid versions of concepts ''if it makes sense''. I don't know if this is clarified in any specific policy, but it's a matter of common sense. There's things in invalid stories that just exist to rely on the readers' preexisting knowledge, and don't seek to reimagine them at all. The [[Seventh Doctor (Death Comes to Time)|Seventh Doctor]] has a lot of history (and abilities) in ''Death Comes to Time'' that he doesn't have elsewhere, and to an extent so does [[The Brigadier (Death Comes to Time)|the Brigadier]], but when it involves [[President (Death Comes to Time)|the President of the U.S.A.]], we have a page about ''that'' guy but there's no need to have a page about the ''DCtT'' U.S.A. in particular.

:For the Daleks, there are ''different Daleks'' than the ones we met on television, and they have their own character pages like [[Gold Dalek (Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.)]]; what more could a page about the species bring us that can't be covered on those pages? Species-wise they ''are'' Daleks through and through. --[[User:Scrooge MacDuck|Scrooge MacDuck]] [[User talk:Scrooge MacDuck|<span title="Talk to me">☎</span>]] 17:39, May 12, 2020 (UTC)

Ah, I see. However, that page is not ''exclusively'' for the Gulliver from the Land of Fiction. Also, there is no evidence that Gulliver from ''The Mind Robber'' was Goth in disguise. --[[User:Borisashton|Borisashton]] [[User talk:Borisashton|<span title="Talk to me">☎</span>]] 19:43, June 18, 2020 (UTC)
: I've now corrected that. As for the seperate page, I'm not sure there is currently call for one. :Cheers. I think ''Children of Earth'' is a contender for the best post-2005 DWU story and find myself most excited about Big Finish's ''Torchwood'' range, so I'm hoping to get to the stage where there is as much coverage of the audios as there is the TV series. Hm, nice find, though, technically, ''[[The Day of the Doctor (novelisation)|The Day of the Doctor]]'' gets that merit, having also novelised the events of ''[[The Night of the Doctor (TV story)|The Night of the Doctor]]'', so perhaps the change ''is'' warranted.

But now, what's more in question (and perhaps a discussion that oughta be made in the story's talk page): do we really want to classify these 1-page short stories as novelisations? Sure, they "recollect" the overall events of their respective stories, but I'm not sure "novelisation" is a word that we can ''truly'' apply to them, is it? : I can look into the code to try and add a second "based on", both for ''The Night of the Doctor'' and also because, with the revival of [[Target novelisation]]s, it's only a matter of time until we get novelisations for two-parters (and who knows if they'll be done in diferent books, or merged into a single novelisation).
: But, regarding the specific discussion for [[Spyfall (short story)]], I've shifted the discussion to [[Talk:Spyfall (short story)]], because there are now three people involved, so it's better to discuss it all on one place.
