Donald McCrimmon was a human musician and farmer who lived in Scotland during the 18th century. He was the father of the Second Doctor's companion Jamie McCrimmon. (TV: The Highlanders)

Jamie was born in 1724. (AUDIO: Shadow of Death) Donald had several other sons. He raised all of his children to idolise Scottish heroes such as William Wallace. (PROSE: On a Pedestal)

Like his father before him, he was a piper for the Clan McLaren and Jamie learned to play the chanter at his knee when he was a child. As a young man, Jamie likewise became a piper for the McLarens. (TV: The Highlanders)

After being returned to his own time by the Time Lords, Jamie married Kirsty McLaren and Donald became the grandfather of their eight or more children. (AUDIO: The Glorious Revolution)
