Andalia, home to the Andalians was a planet visited by the Tenth Doctor in the Dark Times. It was not far from Gallifrey

History

After fleeing Ood Sigma's summons, the Doctor made his way to Andalia, visiting the Tombs of the Ended. His arrival coincided with Estinee demonstrating a lifeshroud to the people, meant to protect them from the Kotturuh. Shortly afterwards, Brian and the Kotturuh arrived, both seeking Estinee for the secrets of her immunity to death.

Judging the planet, the Kotturuh gave the Andalians a lifespan of one lunar orbit and adjusted the living time of the flora and fauna accordingly. They claimed to the Doctor that Andalia would one day be of strategic value and their judgement would enable it to be taken rather than won in a war. When they left with Estinee, the Doctor and Brian quickly followed to rescue the girl. The two tracked the Kotturuh to the planet Mordeela where one marked the Doctor to die on Andalia.

Along with Estinee and Hana Fallomax, the Doctor later returned to the planet to seek out genetic samples of the Andalians to perfect a reverse-engineered necrotic virus to turn on the Kotturuh. Seising control of the TARDIS, the Kotturuh jumped the TARDIS forward five days, when the Doctor was to die. After enthralling Estinee and having her kill Fallomax, the girl turned her weapon on herself when they tried to have her kill the Doctor. The Doctor then released his virus, sentencing the Kotturuh to a lifespan of fifteen minutes. As they died, the Doctor left the planet, observed by a now incorporeal Estinee.
