Maze Theory is a British video game developer located in London. It was founded in September 2018.[1] In November 2019, they launched their first major project, Doctor Who: The Edge of Time.[2]

On 27 April 2020, it was announced that they would be involved in the multi-platform story Time Lord Victorious.[3] This manifested as an update to The Edge of Time that included a variety of small Time Lord Victorious tie-ins released on 16 November 2020.[4][5]

On 20 May 2020, Maze Theory revealed it was working on two new Doctor Who games for 2021.[6] On 11 October 2020, it was announced that the games were titled Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality and Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins. [7]
