Kerril was a miner. He served under Kiy Uvanov and alongside Poul on an expedition where one of the crew, suffering from a bout of robophobia, died. Kerril later worked on Storm Mine 4, where he was killed by a sandminer robot corrupted by Taren Capel and his body was hidden in a hopper, where the Fourth Doctor discovered it.
