Nostradamus (1503-1566) was a French astrologer and physician. He wrote a series of famous prophecies with the aid of the Canavitchi, as part of their plan to slow down humanity's technological development. (PDA: The King of Terror) His wife, Madame Nostradamus, "a witty little knitter," created the scarf the Doctor would wear during his fourth incarnation. (DW: The Ark in Space)
The Gnostic Apocrypha of Nostradamus was one of the forbidden texts held in the Library of St John the Beheaded. (MA: Millennial Rites)
