Maureen O'Brien (born 29th June 1943 in Liverpool) played the Doctor's companion Vicki in Doctor Who, beginning with "The Rescue" and ending with "The Myth Makers." She has also appeared in many other television programmes, most notably Casualty.
She played the part of Vicki in 1965, but since then has had little to do with the series. She did appear in the Big Finish Productions play Year of the Pig, though not as Vicki.
After leaving Doctor Who, O'Brien went on to become a best-selling author.
