The Dangerous Book of Monsters: The Doctor's Official Guide was a book intended to be a guide to the most dangerous monsters written by the Twelfth Doctor with his own illustrations.

An in-character prose advertisement by the Twelfth Doctor was printed in Doctor Who The Official Annual 2016, serving as a kind of prequel to the novel.
