I removed a bit from the intro where it said the next historical to feature a prominent figure was Mark of the Rani. First, Mark of the Rani isn't considered a true historical because it still involved major science fiction elements; in the context of Doctor Who, "historicals" are those stories where the Doctor and the TARDIS are the only SF elements. The Gunfighters is this, as is The Highlanders, and the next story of this nature was Black Orchid. Mark of the Rani featured the Rani and the Master and major SF elements. Even if one wanted to consider Mark an historical, citing it would still be incorrect because by this criteria the earlier story The King's Demons involves the historical figure King John. Error removed[[edit source]]

68.146.233.86talk to me 17:46, March 12, 2016 (UTC)

Johnny Ringo - a main enemy?[[edit source]]

Opening a point of discussion on the matter of Ringo and his placement in the infobox as a main enemy. It's currently marked as a disputed statement, but it's not as such something that we'll be able to decide through any citations - instead we need to actually consider if he's viable as an antagonist within the story to be included there. It's actually against policy for something in the infobox to be marked "disputed". If it's disputed then it doesn't belong in the infobox. Shambala108 00:46, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
I haven't watched the serial in a while, but I do remember that Ringo wasn't even in the first half and only joined the fight because the Clantons asked him, so I reckon we can at least take him out of the infobox. LauraBatham 02:05, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
