Jikugihi Dharkhig was a Venusian philosopher. He was a member of the clan Poroghini, and the father of Fefirhi Trikhobu. His friend the First Doctor, with Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, attended his funeral. The Doctor and Barbara ate part of Dharkhig's brain as part of the traditional ceremony of remembering, but Ian refused. The size of Barbara's portion was far too large for her body size, and as a result Dharkhig's personality remained inside her mind for hours after eating his brain, allowing her intimate knowledge of Venusian culture during this time. In a final gesture, Dharkhig spoke through Barbara in a speech which roused the Venusian people against their enemy the Sou(ou)shi. (PROSE: Venusian Lullaby)
