Their founding father, [[Wabster]], had died fifty years earlier, but was dug up and animatronically reanimated. With the band's popularity on the decline, their record label planned to drop them until [[Jacey]], their tour manager, came up with the idea of having the members killed in a tragic accident, making them rock legends. She succeeded in destroying the star cruiser transporting them to [[Malphapalooza]], but [[time spillage]] from the ship's warp thrusters placed them in a [[time loop]] for centuries until the [[Tenth Doctor]] and [[Rose Tyler]] arrived. After realising what was happening, they saved the band members' lives, exposed Jacey as their would-be killer, and freed them from the loop.
