The Cult of Morbius was an order that followed Morbius, a renegade Time Lord.

Long after the apparent death of Morbius, the cult survived and was determined to revive him. (AUDIO: The Vengeance of Morbius)

After the disappearance of Doctor Mehendri Solon, he began to work in secret to revive Morbius. On Karn, Solon developed the techniques which enabled him to create a new body to house the still-living brain of Morbius, now believed to have been executed. In an isolated castle on Karn, Solon was assisted by his simple Dravidian servant Condo. Spaceships often crashed on the planet, and Solon constructed a horrendous patchwork body out of the alien survivors' body parts, including a Mutt, a Birastrop and possibly a Macra. He planned to house Morbius' brain in it. Solon, however, was killed shortly after reviving Morbius, who was driven off a cliff by the Sisterhood of Karn. (TV: The Brain of Morbius)
