Hi there,
I'd like to apologise for the Paul McGann edit on the appearances page. I mistook the count for treating the individual parts to a story (e.g. Blood of the Daleks, Palindrome) as part of it. I also thought Stranded 2 came out in July, but having double checked I do see it was before the release of Echoes of Extinction.
Hope you have a good day.

Welcome to the Tardis:About Dmitriy Volfson

Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask on my talk page. Tangerineduel 08:07, August 26, 2014 (UTC)

BF credits

Hi! I see you've been uploading BF credits for our ongoing project, and as one of the people involved I am extremely glad to see it. However, some admins who aren't as aware of the project might delete your images on the grounds that they are too big. When you upload images in the future, even for this project, please make sure they are less than 100 kb or they could be deleted. Thanks for your contribution to this project! Shambala108 04:55, November 5, 2016 (UTC)

Videos

Hi! Please note that per Tardis:Video policy only admins are permitted to upload videos to the wiki. Thanks. Shambala108 15:28, December 5, 2016 (UTC)

Missing Episodes

I see you've been doing pages on Project: Longinus. Does that mean you have a copy of it?! If so, can you send it to me? Cavan Scott told me he thought it was gone forever. Also, can I have Imaginary Boys? Fwhiffahder 16:59, December 19, 2016 (UTC)

This is me, commenting again. Tiny bit pushy? Sure. But I'd really like Imaginary Boys and (if possible) Project: Longinus. I've been after them for a while already. Fwhiffahder 14:28, December 22, 2016 (UTC)

Replacing files

Hey! If you would like to replace an image on a page, please upload a new image instead of replacing the file with something completely differnet, like you did at File:Patricia Menzies.jpg. Thanks! P&P talk contribs 04:08, January 11, 2017 (UTC)

Username

Hi, now that we intersected on a thread, could I ask to change your username to something others can read? Or at the very least, include some understandable symbols in it, as per T:NON-ENG USER: Here's a short version:

  • On your user page, please include a Latin alphabet transliteration of your username.
  • Your signature should also have a Latin transliteration somewhere in it.

Thank you in advance. Amorkuz 09:12, January 25, 2017 (UTC)

Image width

Gotta say, I love the Big Finish images! But they're a bit thin. Wider images are much more preferable. You should be aiming to have your images be at the very least 300 pixels wide. If it's possible, images over 420 pixels wide are optimum for reasons involving the TARDIS wiki app. CoT ? 13:39, May 18, 2017 (UTC)

Russian commander in the Pyramid

Hi, I was wondering if we can tap your knowledge of Russian. So this Russian commander in the last episode is credited as "Llya". But somebody edited it at The Pyramid at the End of the World (TV story) as Ilya with some last name. Since I am not sure of where that last name came from or whether it was correct, I removed it for the time being. However, if a native Russian speaker confirms what it is, we are likely to accept it. My suspicion is that the name could be found on his name tags. Unfortunately, he has two of those (see, e.g., the episode at 13:52). So it's hard to say which one is the name. Anyways, your help would be appreciated. Amorkuz 22:51, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

Image names

Hi, be careful what you name the new images you upload to the wiki. If you use the same name as an existing, different, image, your image will completely remove the old image from all pages it might be on. Always check your planned image names to see if they already exist on the wiki. See Tardis:Image use policy for more details. Thanks, Shambala108 20:40, July 14, 2017 (UTC)

Attributing images to stories

Hi! I've noticed that you're uploading a lot of images from comic stories. This is a great service to the community. However, I would like to ask you to improve it in one respect. Each comic story has an associated category for images from this story. Such as Category:The Eternal Dogfight comic story images. The link to this category ({{ImageLinkComics}}) is part of the standard template for new comic story pages, although the category itself might need to be created sometimes. On behalf of the admin team, I would greatly appreciate it if you could place the images you upload into the appropriate story images category. It takes almost no extra effort at the time of the upload, but is often extremely hard to research postfactum, even for someone who owns the comic story. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. Just wanted to ask, where are you getting this great comic snaps from?BananaClownMan 14:19, October 11, 2017 (UTC)

Problems with images you upload

Please note that by posting images from BF covers to in-universe pages you are violating T:IUI#In-universe_articles. Both the Master and Jack have many in-universe images, meaning that BF covers cannot be used for them. I deleted the images from the pages.

I can see a lot of messages to you from various admin regarding the problems with your style of uploading images. I checked your contributions, and it appears that you never responded to any of them. Your only response on somebody's talk page was to contact you offsite (see Special:Diff/2164699). Please note that suggestions to contact you in a way that may reveal private information about our editors are completely unacceptable. User:Time Lord has been blocked forever for a slightly more aggravated version of this behaviour. Please have a courtesy to respond to people the way they contact you. Come to think of it, please have a courtesy to respond in general.

And returning to this topic, if only you did not respond but took the requests into account in your future edits. Earlier I requested that you categorise comic images by the story. Your recent uploads show that you ignored this request. Given that you are a prolific uploader, this has created a real problem by now. Tardis:Uncategorised comic strip images is a page we are using to track this exact situation. And more than 100 images there are yours. Everyone occasionally forgets to put a story in, but this requires significant efforts for others to clean up where it would have been trivial for you to avoid the problem whatsoever.

On top of this, a quick spot check of your images shows that a significant proportion of them violate our image guidelines. The most common problem is that they are narrower than 420px.

Please respond to this message and acknowledge that you will stop violating these policies. Thank you in advance.

In addition, while asking you to re-upload good versions of all those images would be a bit too much, I would really appreciate it if you followed the provided link to uncategorised images and dealt with yours. Amorkuz 23:42, January 27, 2018 (UTC)

Second warning

To be honest, it is quite annoying when I am forced to issue second warnings to editors, whom I would have expected to be responsible and mindful of policies. Unfortunately, after my yesterday message pointing you to T:IUI#In-universe_articles and asking you to respond with an acknowledgment, you repeated the violation instead at Special:Diff/2453826. If the only way of attracting your attention and eliciting a reaction is by blocking you, I'm afraid I will be forced to do it. But I would prefer to solve it with less drama and more communication. Amorkuz 20:50, January 28, 2018 (UTC)

Communiqué

Thanks for getting back. Glad that this was one gigantic case of inadvertent "incommunicado". And don't get me wrong, the images you upload are highly appreciated, especially given that some of them are quite off the beaten paths. Anyways, I hope you were able to turn email notification for this page back on. Thanks for adding the story image categories. It really helps in several housecleaning tasks. But most of all, it makes sure that the removal of an image from a story page does not cause the complete and final loss of information which story this image originated from. Inclusion debate

Thread:228790 was pretty great! I was in the middle of writing a reply when it was closed, which was disappointing. Looks like the main problems were the title and first paragraph -- could you repost it with the future spoilers removed, or would you like me to do it? I'm very interested to see how that discussion was going to play out. – N8 14:47, February 6, 2018 (UTC)

Amorkuz has suggested on my user page that it might be better to wait until after the story is released, in case there's any pertinent info. Shouldn't be that long, anyway :) – N8 19:35, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
Oh I'm dumb, Thread:228795 exists. Yay! – N8 19:36, February 6, 2018 (UTC)

New versions of images

Hi, please note that it is not necessary to upload new versions of existing images if you are adding nearly the same image but at a larger size. Please see Tardis:Image use policy#Uploading new versions of files for details. Thanks, Shambala108 00:18, April 23, 2018 (UTC)

Imaginary Boys?

Hi, you said on Thread:206638 that you had a copy of Imaginary Boys (audio story). Would you be willing to share this copy with me? I've been looking for it for a while.Belegityt 15:56, August 20, 2020 (UTC)
