Jón was a human who lived with Anna in a remote house somewhere in the Arctic Circle. The two lived a quiet life; they were the keepers of a seemingly alien beacon, but they had been promised that it would most probably never activate. Eventually, it did; Anna chose to break the beacon with a hammer and, if questioned, pretend that she and Jón had never received the signal. Jón was baffled and uncertain at this decision, but chose not to argue.

Unbeknownst to herself, Anna was a human guise adopted by the powerful being Azure, (TV: The Halloween Apocalypse) comparable to a Time Lord hidden via Chameleon Arch. (TV: Fugitive of the Judoon) The night after the beacon went off, Swarm, Azure's brother, entered the house and killed Jón in their bed (with his last words being to warn Anna not to "touch anything", as he thought it was contact with his table lamp which had caused him to combust). Swarm subsequently burned the Anna guise away, freeing Azure. (TV: The Halloween Apocalypse)
