Nepenthe was a human and a member of Free Time.

Nepenthe was passed on Celestial Intervention Agency information which she used to obtain the Timonic Fusion Device on the Third Moon of Kikrit in 3553, taking on the identity of Sardinopoulos to infiltrate the Time Technology Assessors. She took the device to Gryben and was unaware that Ba'aruk had compromised her security using a holographic suit.
On Gryben, Nepenthe captured Leela, Torvald and K9 Mark I and told Leela to prove her enmity towards the Time Lords by killing Torvald. She armed the device when Ba'aruk called Monan Security to invade Gryben, prepared to martyr herself and the rest of the planet in the name of Free Time.
