Part of the Last Great Time War between the Time Lords of Gallifrey and the Daleks of Skaro, the sky battle of Thusk was a vicious aerial engagement fought in the upper atmosphere of the colony planet Thusk. Gallifreyan fighters crashed onto the planet amid the battle, with refugees rushing to save the Time Lord pilots from their downed ships after the fighting over the world had finished.
