Uthians were the humanoid natives of Uthe 3. Outwardly resembling humans, they were, according to the Fourth Doctor, "a very stubborn race, not very imaginative but terribly persevering". These qualities led directly to their being controlled by a computer, which — largely because few Uthians even had the idea to check behind the computer — successfully perpetuated an untruth about the state of the war for 127 years. (PROSE: Sweet Flower of Uthe)
