According to one account, Rose and Jackie Tyler lived in a council estate in Kennington (PROSE: Rose Tyler) in the London Borough of Southwark, (TV: Father's Day) however other accounts placed the Powell Estate in Peckham. (COMIC: Silver Scream, PROSE: Downtime: Child of the New World, Dalek)
Behind the scenes
PROSE: Rose Tyler was the first story to give a specific location for the Powell Estate. Kennington, which is situated along the border of London Borough of Lambeth and the London Borough of Southwark, was actually the real world location where the scenes for the Powell Estate were filmed;[1] so choosing a location that both aligns with the real world and the DWU logically makes sense. However, it was later established in COMIC: Silver Scream that the Powell Estate was located in Peckham, which has been seemingly accepted by every story that came out after it.
Location information
Though it's possible that a real world location doesn't exist in the same geographic space in the Doctor Who universe, such cases are few and far between. Thus, the map to the right is probably a good indicator of the DWU location of Kennington.
