The Wombles

The Wombles were a music group.

In 1974, Flo, a waitress at the Nadir Motorway Service Station, mentioned the Wombles to the Eighth Doctor and Lucie. She had served them once. (AUDIO: Horror of Glam Rock)

Gustous R Thripsted's Genetic Politics Nobody Really Wants to Hear About compared Faction Paradox's family structure to the Wombles': both featured younger members gathering information in the field, while each department of secret empire was run by a specialized elder. He noted that this might explain the traditional Faction rhyme, "Making good use of the times that we find, times that the everyday folk leave behind." (PROSE: The Spiral Politic Database)
