Gusta Pardo was a partially-Cybernetically enhanced human who was living on the planet Burnt Salt in the year 2284. She ran a saloon bar called Gusta's.
Gusta lived through the Cyber-Wars but was abandoned on Burnt Salt towards the end of the war. She had been partially-converted and hence left for dead by others. She then stayed in Port Anvil and opened a bar.
She initially investigated the mysterious cargo ship that landed in Port Anvil and contacted Professor Marian Schaeffer thinking it had been meant for the professor. She later used a mining vehicle to deliver it to Schaeffer and asked for a new eye in return since her old robotic one was starting to break down. Professor Schaeffer used this as an opportunity to have her be a test subject to try and find an antidote to the Cyber-smoke as part of the Professor's research.
