Disney+ was the American-based online streaming platform owned by Disney.
In 2022 it was announced that they had reached a deal with BBC Studios to be the exclusive distributor for new episodes of Doctor Who outside of the UK and Ireland, starting with the episode directly after The Power of the Doctor.[1] This replaced, in part, longtime distribution contracts with BBC America[2] and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.[3]
