The Fifth Doctor's trial by the Time Lords on Gallifrey, initiated by Rassilon, regarded his responsibility in bringing an elemental being to Earth and allowing it to interfere in human history. The main evidence of this was an impression of the Doctor's TARDIS in prehistoric mud. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Horror)
While tried on Gallifrey, the Doctor was questioned as to why he decided to stay on Earth, (COMIC: The Tides of Time) pointing out that he allowed a human to visit an alien ship, (COMIC: Stars Fell on Stockbridge) though the Doctor refused to admit the truth, that we was staying on Earth to investigate the Time-Meddler. (COMIC: 4-Dimensional Vistas)
Before Tubal Cain arrived in a Battle TARDIS, the Celestial Intervention Agency agent Shayde destroyed the impression of the TARDIS; when Cain arrived and scanned the mud, there was no longer any evidence against the Doctor and he was released. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Horror)
