Physiology is a branch of biology involved in the scientific study of functions and mechanisms in a living system.
The War Doctor knew physiology, and was able to tell how people died by checking corpses. (COMIC: The Organ Grinder)
The Tenth Doctor observed that the Krillitanes changed their physiology so often that their own oil became toxic to them. (TV: School Reunion)
Davros had such knowledge of biology including physiology.
