Dorothy's (AUDIO: The Settling) house (PROSE: Normality, Dead Romance, Mad Dogs and Englishmen) was a house in The Wizard of Oz which was taken from Kansas to the Land of Oz by tornado, (PROSE: Normality, Dead Romance) where it landed on a witch, prompting celebration. (PROSE: Mad Dogs and Englishmen)
This event was recalled by the Eleventh Doctor upon encountering the eye of the storm, (GAME: The Eternity Clock) as well as Clara Oswald, who couldn't understand where the phrase "safe as houses" came from when houses could, among other things, be taken to Oz by tornadoes. (PROSE: Normality)
Behind the scenes
Dorothy Gale's house was, as indicated in the DWU, taken from Kansas to the Land of Oz in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank L. Baum, and its later film adaptation, simply named The Wizard of Oz (and several other adaptations of the original novel). It also appeared in the crossover video game LEGO Dimensions, where it appeared in both Kansas and Munchkin Town in The Wizard of Oz adventure world.
