Shaun Jones was the husband of Bronwen Jones and the father of Eugene and Terry Jones.
In 1992, Shaun went to see Eugene at a maths competition and was disappointed at his failure to win. Upon returning home, he argued with Bronwen and left her. He never returned.
Shaun lived only a short distance from his family home. Shortly before Eugene died, he found Shaun worked the night shift as a cashier at Filey Garage in Cardiff. He never contacted his children or told them why he left. Shaun met Gwen Cooper when she came to tell him of Eugene's death at the age of 28. He attended the funeral and sang "Danny Boy" in memory of his son. Shaun tried to be more involved with Terry, greeting him. He witnessed as Eugene's ghost-like being passed over. (TV: Random Shoes)
