The newly cloned Sontaran Strax was provided with Mark VII Battle Armour, complete with a Mark VII Tactical Helmet.
According to the Sontaran Subliminal Education Matrix, this version of Sontaran space armour was sturdy, form-fitted and proof against all but the most determined blade or bolt.
