The New New York Hospital a secret intensive care unit where the Flesh were kept for experimentation. Thousands of human test-subjects were contained inside green-lit chambers, pumped full of diseases every ten minutes and incinerated if any of them showed signs of life. (TV: New Earth)

The Dalek Asylum had an intensive care area which housed several Daleks who had survived conflicts with the Doctor on planets such as Spiridon, Kembel, Aridius, Vulcan, and Exxilon. Oswin Oswald, a Dalek of human origin, was locked in a padded cell within intensive care. When the Eleventh Doctor tried to rescue her, the other Daleks activated in his presence prompting Oswin to delete all information about the Time Lord from the Dalek pathweb, sending the others back to sleep.
