Sam Maleski wrote the analysis books Sheffield Steel: Essays on the Thirteenth Doctor and Arachnids in the UK in The Black Archive series. They also wrote the Cwej: The Series short story Hearts of Gold.
In May 2022, Arcbeatle Press announced that they had cut ties with Maleski due to "inappropriate conduct with fellow writers" and that Hearts of Gold would not be included in reprints of Down the Middle.[1]
