Wyler was a human freedom fighter during the 22nd century. He fought against the Daleks when they invaded the Earth in 2150. He helped Dr. Who defeat the Daleks' plans. (TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.)
The Dalek Survival Guide indicated that Wyler came from a version of reality "B" relative to the First Doctor's version of reality "A". (PROSE: Dalek Survival Guide)
