The transdimensional accelerator was a machine.
It bent one dimension over another dimension and created a portal through time and space. Erasmus Darkening used such a transdimensional accelerator. He was working on the machine in his secret chamber at Ashen Hill Manor. (TV: The Eternity Trap)
