Matrix Protection Operative Anosia was the custodian of the Recorded Pantemporal Data in a closed sector of the Amplified Panotropic Complex of the Matrix, although she liked "Helper" better. When the Time Lords were threatened and truth was required to counteract or minimise the threat, Anoisa enabled and assisted the search for that truth, although she also served to airbrush Time Lord history for the purpose of Public Relations.
She appeared as a young girl in a pale blue dress with white trim seated in an old-fashioned wheelchair, the embodiment of the stereotypical trusting "girl next door," and stated her mobility was even more limited outside the Matrix. Useful within the Matrix, she only saw the Keeper occasionally, the Time Lords considering her an embarrassment, worried that visitors to Gallifrey would see imperfection. However, the Valeyard also met with her several times, having greater knowledge and understanding of the Matrix than anyone she'd met, and showing her how to similarly navigate parts of the "shadow Matrix" with ease, claiming he trusted her.
During his trial on Space Station Zenobia, the Sixth Doctor met with Anosia inside the Matrix to select evidence for his defense, eventually settling on the Vervoid saga. Because the Doctor was the only Time Lord to ever show her kindness, she confided in him that the Vervoid evidence would be altered, being preferred because it required the least editing, which was always thought impossible within the Matrix.
Although wishing to help her, the Doctor forgot his entire time with Anosia upon leaving the Matrix. Although he promised her freedom, the Valeyard met with Anosia to ensure the Vervoid evidence was edited correctly, and informed her she'd need to wait until his plans were complete.
