In 1959, the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond encountered some teenage alien joyriders using speed bikes on the M1. (COMIC: Madness on the M1!)
A joyrider from the "joyriders" organisation took control of the body of Poppy in October 2016. Using her body, the joyrider stole a car and went on a rampage, causing the deaths of several bystanders. After this, the joyrider drove the car through the window of a betting shop, killing Poppy. (PROSE: Joyride)
