Owen Teale (born 20 May 1961[1]) played Maldak in the Doctor Who television story Vengeance on Varos and later played Evan Sherman in the Torchwood television story Countrycide. He also voiced Hayton in the Doctor Who audio story The Mind's Eye.

Outside of Doctor Who, Teale is known for playing Ser Alliser Thorne in HBO's Game of Thrones.

He is married to Sylvestra Le Touzel, who appeared in The Mind Robber.

He was previously married to Dilys Watling, the sister of Deborah Watling and Giles Watling and the daughter of Jack Watling.
