Professor Flynt was a leading research developer in plant modifications. She worked in a space station with its own biodome that was kept in the shadow of a planet. Her early attempts at enhanced growth and development of potential crops had the unfortunate side effect of aggression in the plants when exposed to even low level light.

Working with her was Professor Brask, who did not share her commitment to revolutionise the lives of colonists on the outer rim with hardier crops. Brask attempted to steal and sell viable seed samples to Weapontrek in particular, to Jerrix with who he was arrested.

Brask's ruthless betrayal almost destroyed the space station and its crew when it was removed from its geostationary orbit after he sabotaged the main primary controls after his arrest. However Flynt was able to continue her research. (COMIC: Green Fingers)
