Scriven was the caretaker of Ashen Hill Manor in the 20th century. Mr Scriven lived together with his two children and wife in Ashen Hill Manor. The Scrivens family legally owned the house in 2010. However, they vanished one night in 1989. The keys were found in the doors, locked from the inside. Mr Scriven was kidnapped by Erasmus Darkening and turned into a ghost. He told Sarah Jane Smith that Erasmus Darkening took his whole family away. In 2010, he was killed when Darkening was. (TV: The Eternity Trap)
