George Dayton lived in East Ridge, Texas. He owned Dayton's General Store.
Dayton was a member of the "East Ridge Planners", a group of land and business owners. They tried to convince Thomas Watson to sell his land to oilman John Glassman, but Watson refused.
Dayton, incited by Glassman, led a mob to Watson's home with the intention to hurt or kill him. When Watson was rescued by the Second Doctor, Dayton and the men surrendered to Sheriff Wilson. (PROSE: The Farmer's Story)
