What If? was an accompanying image of an article of the same name. It depicted a “what if?”, almost unbound situation, showing what a potential Eighth Doctor may have done.

It was printed in Doctor Who Magazine and was illustrated by Phil Bevan. It depicted Richard Griffiths as a possible Doctor. Tying into the fact Griffiths was considered for the role after McCoy departed.[1]

This illustration doesn’t depict a scene from a planned unmade story, but instead shows a view into new story.
