Alan Watts was a human who was part of the geological team in the Arctic until he was turned into a Cyberslave by a Cybermat.

When the Eleventh Doctor and Amy opened the door to the base, Alan was waiting there, having already been turned into a Cyberslave. He chased the Doctor around whilst Amy thought of a plan to stop him. She vented out hot steam, killing him. The Doctor took his swipe card to further continue into the base.
