This topic might have a better name.

The Time Traveller's Almanac states that the name of this character is spelt DaCosta rather than Dacosta.

Talk about it here.

Dacosta was a member of staff at the UNIT New York Base in 2009. She was asked by Martha Jones to see to the turning on of the lights in the base after planet Earth was moved. She crouched behind a desk, but was blasted off her feet as the Daleks invaded the command room. Though the Daleks killed many of the personnel in the base, including Suzanne and General Sanchez, Dacosta managed to crawl to safety. (TV: The Stolen Earth)
