Isabella Hescarty accidentally shot and killed her husband, a soldier, in a hunting accident. Thanks to her family and friends, his death was officially stated to have occurred in battle.
In the original timeline, Ulrich Hescarty often mentioned his father's death as a way to get sympathy as he became a dictator. Bernice Summerfield later went back in time, however, and gave Isabella details of her son's life and death so that she might change time. (AUDIO: Closure)
