He led a group of UNIT personnel, totaling to fifty individuals, all equipped with standard DL/3 class X-hazard chemical survival suits during the "Skaniska Incident" in the Russian Steppes. However, thirteen individuals died during operational manoeuvres, and Berry later expressed remorse over the deaths, and was quoted in a press briefing filed by Corp M Osborne.
